Vale Maryann Dalton

The Commonwealth Veterinary Association (CVA) offer sincere condolences on the passing of Vets Beyond Borders (VBB) former CEO Maryann Dalton. We fondly remember her as a great friend of the CVA and will miss her great perspective and sense of humour.

Her contribution to the veterinary profession, animal welfare and the not-for profit sector will be remembered and celebrated as she applied her passion, knowledge and experience in so many areas.  To be noted are her work in assisting in the preparation and development of legislation and Codes of Practice for companion animals and shelter operations and in particular, during her time with VBB, her integral involvement in projects such as the Sikkim Anti Rabies and Animal Health program in Sikkim in India which has made the state almost rabies free.

Her life was well lived and of benefit to the veterinary profession, animals and people worldwide. She certainly made a difference.
