Statement on Covid 19 to Members of the Commonwealth Veterinary Association

As leaders in our various spheres, it is very pertinent that we take more ownership in the management of the current pandemic.

I believe the CVA as a responsible global citizen, should also join the world in the efforts to control the scourge.

The various mitigating measures are well known. We should therefore domesticate them in our various homes, workplaces and communities.
The bushfire like spread of the disease is in fact scary and totally disconcerting to say the least.

I urge you to become educators of communities and make yourselves available whenever you are needed for volunteer work. This is the time to show that we care and are relevant to the society.

Dr Olatunji Nasir,
President, Commonwealth Veterinary Association.
