Responding to news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, CVA President Olatunji Nasir, said:

“On behalf of the Commonwealth Veterinary Association, I convey our deepest sadness at the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As Head of the Commonwealth for 70 years, Her Majesty has been a constant and unifying presence, admired and respected by veterinarians throughout the Commonwealth and across the world. A dedicated animal-lover, we thank Her Majesty for her unfaltering and inspiring service throughout her reign, and we extend our deepest condolences to his Majesty The King, The Queen Consort and all Members of the Royal Family at this time.”
