Message from the President
2019 is shaping up to be another busy and fast year and our 7th Pan Commonwealth Veterinary Conference is almost upon us. Our Conference is to be held in the beautiful Indian city of Bangalore from 3-7 March 2019. It has a broad ranging theme of The role of veterinarians in addressing the global challenges to the lives of our pets, livestock, wildlife, humans and our environment. http://www.pcvc7conference2019.com
Our hard-working Organising Committee led by our Past President Dr Abdul Rahman has done an incredible job in dealing with the complexity of holding international conferences in India and it will be a wonderful event. The Scientific Program http://www.pcvc7conference2019.com/program-schedule.php will showcase national and international experts to consider our theme. The event will be matched by an impressive cultural and social program.
This year marks 52 years of the CVA and it continues to run on a voluntary basis with no salaried support staff. Dr Rahman will leave the CVA Executive in December this year after giving more than 38 years to the CVA. He is marking this moment by releasing the History of the CVA at our Bangalore Conference. No one else could produce this important historical document and we sincerely thank him for this production.
I thank our Organising Committee, our conference partners and sponsors and look forward to meeting up again with our CVA Councillors and Officers and all our supporters in beautiful Bangalore.
Peter Thornber
President, Commonwealth Veterinary Conference
